That too...but not what I was getting at. He was trying to elicit a response (any response - good or bad) from the audience. As a performer, being ignored is infinitely worse than being hated.
It was a pointed question towards the local music scene born of sour grapes on my part.
I'm over it now that we have a weekend gig coming up.
